Guidelines

The
state of Uttaranchal also known as Devbhumi, or the Land of

breathtaking natural beauty and sheer range of diversity. 83
peaks in Uttaranchal himalayas are open to mountaineers. These
high mountain areas cover a substantial geographical area of
the State, forming important catchments of major river systems
in India, and are a repository of rich Himalayan
biodiversity. It is a major challenge to ensure a balance
between allowing mountaineering activities in such an area with
the need to prserve fragile Himalayan environment for

that the world will have sustained tourism interest in high
