Nanda
Devi Sanctuary trekking in Himalaya Duration : 12/14 Days Place cover : Delhi : Rishikesh : Joshimath : NDBR : Jsm : Rishikesh : Delhi Nanda Devi Sanctuary is situated in Chamoli district. The present sanctuary came into existence in 1939. There are no roads available and the area is inaccessible. No regular path exist. One can trek from Joshimath i.e. 25 km. by road up to Lata and then 51 km. trekking up to the sanctuary. Fauna includes Snow Leopards, Himalayan Bear, Must-Deer and Pheasant. The best season to visit is from April to May. At present time, no accommodation is available in the vicinity of Nanda Devi Sanctuary which covers an area of 630 sq. km,it is just next to 2nd highest Nanda Devi Peak (7816m) of India. |

Valley
Of Flowers National Park Duration : 10 / 12 Days Place cover : Delhi : Rishikesh : Joshimath : Valley Of Flowers : Rishikesh : Delhi The world famous Valley Of Flowers is situated in the upper expansions of Bhundar Ganga in the far interiors of the Garhwal Himalayas.The second core zone of the NDBR consists of the Valley of Flowers National Park. The credit for the discovery of the Valley of flowers goes to the British mountainerrs frank S.Smythe and R.L Holdsowrth who incidentally reached this valley after a successful expedition of Mount Kamet in 1931.River Pushpawati flows through this valley which has it's source in the Tipra Glaciers which extends upto Ghori Parbat peak. It is as flat valley 5 km. Long and 2 km. Wide . It's altitudinal range varies from 3200 to 6675 mts.More than 300 species of wild flowers like Himalayan blue poppy, daisy, dianthus, calandula, white and yellow anemones,Marsh marigold,Ranunculus, corydalis,Inula,Brahma Kamlal,Anaphalis,Cypripedium,Strawberry,Epilobium and numerous others bloom and swing with life during July - August. |

Govind Wildlife Sanctuary & Nationla Park Duration : 10 / 12 Days. Place cover : Delhi : Rishikesh : Uttarakashi : G.W.L..S. : Rishikesh : Delhi. The park established in 1955 , situated in Uttarakashi region.It's famous because of Hari - Ki - Dun , full of wild flowers, animal species of this sanctuary.It spread over an area 957.969 sq. kms. Himalayan Black Bear, Tahr, Serow, Monal, Snow Leopard, Snow cock,Brown Bear,Tragopan, Chir, Bharal, Musk Deer, Koklas Kaleej Pheasants and Chakor can be find easily in Park. A part from the Sanctuary the place is a popular tourist destination, mainly because of the beauty of its snow-clad peaks and glaciers. |

National Park Duration : 6 / 8 Days. Place cover : Delhi : Rishikesh : Rajaji National Park : Rishikesh : Delhi. Rajaji National Park, spread in an area of about 820 sq. kms, is one of the additions to the list of national parks in the country.A pleasurable 19 kms drive from Rishikesh take s you to chilla,the core zone of Raja Ji National Park an intresting animal habitat on account of its location at the meting point of the lesser Himalayan Foothills and the beginning of vast Indo Gangetic Planes. One can enconter a great variety of migratory and domestic birds along the Ganges. Arrive Chilla and commence Elelphant ride through the forests. After one hour of wildlife spotting on Elephant we ride the Jeep through the core zone of the National Park.Explore the area and drive back To Rishikesh before the sun sets. Wild life : Elephant, Tiger, Bear, Chital , Sambar,wild Boar , kakar, Python,Monitor, Lizard and large varity of fauna. |

Kedarnath
Sanctuary Trekking in Himalaya Duration: 12 / 14 Days Place cover : Delhi : Rishikesh : Sitapur : Park : Rishikesh : Delhi Kedarnath sanctuary is situated in Chamoli district. The approach road starts from Haridwar - Rudraprayag and then leads to Sitapur which is 226 km. away. The fauna includes Panther, Musk - deer, Black and Brown Himalayan bear, Snow leopard, Sambhar, Bharal, Scrow, Thar Ghoral and Monal Pheasant. The best season to visit is from April to June and again from September to November. A forest hut is available at Madhyamaheshwar and reservation can be done through the DFO, Kedarnath Forest Division, Gopeshwar. Dharamshala are also available at Trijuginarayan, Gaurikund, Kedarnath and a guest house at Sitampur (Temple Committee). |
