This trek is for the more adventurous and for those with some fundamental knowledge of mountaineering. It is an extension of the Nandanvan Trek, eastward to Ghastoli and then to Badrinath via Kalindikal pass (5967 metres). A special tariff applies to this trek.
The trek takes you from Nandanvan to Vasukital after due acclimatisation. From Vasukital to Mana, the trek falls in the 'inner line'.
Note: Please apply for necessary permissions at least one and a half months in advance.
Day 02
RISHIKESH
DRIVE to
UTTARKASHI 155 KM
Morning after b/fast proceed for Uttarkashi (1150 mt), which takes 5-6 hrs.
Upon arrival checkin at Shikhar Nature Resort / Hotel. After lunch visit
NIM (Nehru Institute of Mountaineering) Institute & Museum.
Uttarkashi is the
principle town in the region. Nehru Institute of Mountaineering is situated
here. It is also the gateway to many mountaineering and trekking expedition in
Gangotri area.
Day 03 UTTARKASHI
DRIVE
to GANGOTRI
95 KMS
Morning after breakfast drive to reach Gangotri via Harsil (approx 25 km
before Gangotri (3048 M)) by covering approx 95 km in 4-5 hrs. On arrival
check-into Hotel Tourist Banglow.
There is a beautiful Gorge at Bhairav Ghati over which there is a steel gurder
bridge. Gangotri is the place where the Goddess Ganga descended on Earth from
Heaven. There is a Temple of Goddess Ganga where thousands of devotees throng
to pay homage to Her.
Day 04 GANGOTRI
TREK:14 KMS to
BHOJBASA
Morning after early breakfast start first days trek to Bhojbasa 3600 Mt.
following the river Bhagirathi on right bank by covering approx 14 kms in 4-5
hrs. Trek is full of fascianating Himalayan sights and you can have beautiful
views of snow clapped peaks around. Upon arrival at Bhojbasa, set up camp for
overnight stay.
Day 05 BHOJBASA
TREK to
NANDANVAN 12
KM
Morning trek 4-5 hrs to reach the beautiful base of Bhagirathi group of peaks,
Nandanvan (4337 MT). The trek crosses Gangotri Galcier.Arrive and overnight at
camp.
Day 06
NANDANVAN
TREK to
VASUKITAL 11
KM
Morning trek along Chaturangi Glacier to reach Vasukital (4898 MT), a
beautiful base for Mt Satopanth and Mt Vasuki Parbat with a small lake . The
trek is steady upward. Arrive in 5-6 hours and overnight stay in tents.
Day 07 VASUKI TAL
TREK to
KHARA PATHAR 8 KM
(SURALYA BAMAK)
Morning after breakfast trek to Khara Pathar (5456 mt) (Suralya Bamak) 8
Km from Vasukital. Dinner and overnight stay in the camp.
Day 08
KHARA PATHAR TREK
to KALINDIKHAL BASE 10 KM
Morning after breakfast trek 10 Km to reach Kalindikhal Base (Sweta Glacier)
(5500 mt). Dinner and overnight stay in the camp.
Day 13 BADRINATH
SURFACE Drive to
JOSHIMATH
44 KM.
Morning after breakfast drive down to reach Joshimath 44 Km from Badrinath.
Overnight stay in the Hotel.
Day 14 JOSHIMATH

to RISHIKESH
257 KM
Morning after breakfast drive down to reach Rishikesh. On arrival check-in the
Hotel for overnight stay. In the evening after wash and change visit Laxman
Jhula, Thirteen storied temple, Geeta Ashram, Parmarth Niketan and later join
the Arti ceremony at Triveni Ghat. Latter return back to the Hotel for
overnight stay.
